Technically, I am going to VSTE, but the excitement is still the same!

A cross state road trip, combining technology and education, may not sound fun to everyone, but I am really looking forward to it. I have been going over my packing list, but so far I can only think about the technology I need to bring with me. No way can I forget my backup to the backup laptop, or my cell phone recharger cable! Join VSTE in Second Life for a visit to the Teacher Networking Center for a "CSO Talk." The TNC meeting is at 9pm EST. We will meet at VSTE 30 min prior to sit around the camp fire and chat. At 8:50 we will begin our trek to the Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach HQ on Lighthouse Learning Island for the 2nd in a series of "CSO Talk Talks."
This will be great chance to visit another educational group in SL and discuss issues brought up in TED Talk videos.

Thirteen minutes before the first session of the day, I was preparing for a Second Life hands on presentation at the VSTE conference. While trying to make sure that everyone was settling in, and understood what the session would be about, my cell phone buzzed. I quickly unsheathed the mobile device and checked the number. It is almost here! The VSTE conference begins this weekend. I am so excited, and worried about all ofthe things I need to do.

VSTE Island will be open to the public and I will be helping people get set up in Second Life. No Pressure!

I want everything to be perfect, but I am not perfect, so it is an unrealistic expectation. But I am still working on all kinds of things!

VSTE island is looking better everyday! Our little group has been very busy putting the final touches on the island for the grand opening at the conference.

I am sure that all will go well, but there will always be small things that come up.
