She told us about the importance of exercise and movement in the classroom, especially at the elementary school level. I have a few students in my third grade cooperating classroom that do not pay attention at all. They pass notes, whisper, stare into space, and curl their hair…anything but pay attention. When I went to my cooperating school Friday there was a parent leaving the room. My 3rd grade cooperating teacher later informed me that the parent was at the school to complain about her and try to have the student removed from the classroom because the student was not doing well.
