Regina, I hear a lot of folks weighing the two sides: time vs. a desire to be innovative. For anything, you have to weigh the pros and cons of any changes you make to your instruction. In terms of wikis and blogs, I'd say that setting those up wil...

International Scratch Day

May 16, 2009 is Scratch Day!

Is anyone in Virginia interested in doing something with Scratch on May 16th? Anyone in central Virginia?

I think this is a great tool, and it's free, and... I'd love to share some experiences with others here in Virginia.

Filtering at Your School

I'm linking here to an Edge podcast episode on filtering. At this school year's VEMA conference in Richmond, I caught up with two VSTE members, Heather Blanton and Bea Cantor, for a discussion on filtering policies in schools. Some possible things off the top of my head; c… Continue

LitFinder

Today Goochland High media specialist (and VSTE member) Deb Cross and I made a short video for introducing students this fall to LitFinder. It was the first time I saw the resource; it looked great!

Let's Get Social!

The latest edition of the VSTE Podcast Edge talks about social networking and this very website. Be sure to share it with folks you still have to convince social networking can be for them, too!

The question is, how much time have I spent here since November 17? First time I log in. Came looking for the link you mentioned at lunch.

Haha. Yes, I have only logged in twice since mid-July. Thanks for plugging my blog, though.
