Virginia Trekkers :)

Last night at Second Life with the Virginia Trekkers was awesome! It is so neat to be able to meet these people and feel the bond we all have with excellence in teaching. I mean, it is nice to know that others out there… the younger generation… are still energetic about teaching and giving above and beyond in our profession. I really enjoyed talking to all 4 of the teachers from Henrico County. These 4 guys have created a great learning experience for all Virginia’s kids 

I'm excited about the book club

I was introduced to UbD by Jenny Sue Flannagan back in 2005. She asked me to transfer to Newtown Road ES to help improve their SOL science scores. I became a Science Resource Teacher for Newtown Road ES. Part of my "job description" was to help grade levels write their own curriculum / lesson plans / units for Science that would meet the needs of their students. It was always fun to get 6 - 8 teachers together all day long to write the units.
