There are several exciting meetings in VSTE's virtual world coming up this fall. We meet at 8 Eastern time (5 PM Second Life Time/Pacific Time). The bowling alleys remain on the island from this week's meeting. Come play anytime. It's surprising how fun bowling is in a virtual world. I scored a 198! Unheard of in my first life!
Monday, October 1st, Emilia Cornwall will share her Second Life shopping secrets. She always looks cute and professional at the same time and she finds…

Once again there will be a Second Life presence at the VSTE Conference in December. This will be year four of VSTE Island. We plan to share at the digital sandbox on Monday to show what VSTE Island is and how we use it for networking and professional development. Then Tuesday morning we will assist anyone who wants to try it. We'll set up shop, so to speak, for a couple of hours and help you create an avatar, join the VSTE group in SL, find the island and learn the basics.…

If you have attended a Second Life session or visited the playground we thank you. They are still some sessions tomorrow. We'd love for VSTE Island to be over-flowing with new avatars from the VSTE conference.
Join the Second Life group here on the ning. Contact one of us to let us know you are starting up and well create a new users group in SL to help you.

The problem with computer skills workshops is that they tend to be either for newbys or experts and those poor souls, virtual or real in the middle get left out. Not any more! This workshop is intended for those who know the very very basic operation of Adobe’s Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. For you....just a smidgeon of added simple skills can allow you to do some really cool things in SL, or even to solve those pesky issues like correcting for photos taken at an angle, or creating…

Several VSTE members sought out the Second Life gang during our conference and expressed interest. It was a shame we couldn't show you very much without a robust Internet connection, but we still managed to meet you and find that there are administrators, teachers and ITRTs out there who want to know more about…

The stage is set. We decorated two "haunted" houses this week. VSTE members came and added bits all week. They are both full of spooky surprises. We'd love to have you all come and vote for your favorite! Take a break from your fright, pull up a hay bale, and sit with friends to listen or dance to one of Second Life's most popular live musicians, Joaquin Gustav, singing and playing his guitar.
Don't miss it! Monday at 8 PM Eastern Daylight Time.…
